Digital photography is just a matter of:

Picking up the camera
Pointing it at someone or something
Press the shutter button
View the photo to determine if you captured what you were shooting for

It's (almost) that simple, in my opinion.

I don't want to oversimplify good photography. But, with all of the ongoing digital technological advancements, there is quite a bit of confusion about what it takes to shoot good photography. I too believe you should try to get the photos correct the first time but I love the versatility of using a raw image to make them the best that they can ...
