Assignment Photography

While still enjoy freelance work I found that what I truly love is trying to capture the essence of an event. I realize now that it was something I did whatever the location was but it started to gel about 3 years ago.

My son had been inviting me to go to Sacramento for The California Peace Officers' Memorial ceremony for several years. I finally decided to take some vacation time and attend as a civilian observer (he is in law enforcement).

He had specifically asked me to photograph the Memorial because he wanted to be able to share with others what the event was about.

I have attended the last three years and plan on taking vacation from now on to attend. Since this I have photographed several other events (Police Explorers Competition, Wild Flower Triathalon).

I have created several websites and sell my images online through my own site and through others.
