Hi Folks
Even though I am writing a photography book on the rules (and I am sitting here laughing) I really don't use the rules that much anymore. As your friend Jay said, with the wonderful world of digital it is less costly and you can tweak away with photoshop till you get the shot the way you want it. Yet I have to say, that you can't break the rules properly without at least knowing them. ( but then I am writing a book ) LOL I think the real trick is developing the creative eye, and the rest falls into place....( like the fun part)...so I feel ya have to learn the rules to toss them out the window gracefully. But trust me in my 35mm days I paid close attention to them for exactly Jay's reasoning....MONEY!

Thanks for all the "brainstorming" around here

Carolyn
