Couch Guardians

My dogs are a favorite photo subject of mine. They are patient yet still challenge me.

The boys spend a lot of time sitting on the headrest of the couch, staring out of the lounge room window, waiting for an "intruder" to bark at.

They offer me the chance to capture very interesting facial expressions and body stances from time to time, ...that's if I'm quick enough. They also offer me the opportunity to experiment with different camera angles and optical settings.

The shooting location is very important when photographing pets because they need to feel relaxed in order to capture natural postures and facial expressions.
