The best testimonial is the encouragement to keep trying.
I am not a professional photographer, and don't think I ever want to claim to be one. I don't mind always being the student, always finding something else to learn, to try or to succeed at, be it a new lens, a new angle, a fresh idea ... or just an attempt at something different to see if it will work. Most of the fun in photography is the learning curve ... and to me, the reward is to just have someone say "WoW" ... nice work.
I've been lucky enough to have sold a couple of pictures at work, one they used for the college's fall catalog ... the others are framed and hanging in one of the departments offices and just this week one of my photo's was selected for the Japanese Gardens Photo Gallery, and my thanks goes to links like yours that encourage people to get their work out there ... not to keep it on your own computer, but put it out for feedback, for viewing, and hopefully eventually for credit.
