Weaver

This is a photograph of a friend of mine who is a weaver. Although she uses very modern and high tech equipment, I put this through Photoshop to get an aged, sepia tone to convey the sense of history associated with weaving. In the original image, my friend is wearing a brilliant azure top and behind her are rows of brightly coloured yarn. It was a hard job to convince myself that it was okay to lose those vivid colours for the sake of the final image I had envisioned when I arranged to photograph her.
